South Australia vaulted back into contention for the Sheffield Shield final after a comfortable seven-wicket win over New South Wales at the SCG.The Redbacks needed just 44 runs on the final day and Callum Ferguson and nightwatchman Joe Mennie guided the Redbacks home without blemish in less than 12 overs. Ferguson finished an unbeaten 49 while Mennie contributed with 26 not out.Left-arm paceman Nick Winter was named Player of the Match after taking 10 for 109 in just his second Sheffield Shield match.The win moves the Redbacks up to fourth on the table but they are less than six points behind Queensland, who are place on top of the table, with three rounds remaining.
