Let’s be honest, Leeds United aren’t the most popular team in England.
The Whites may have one of the most loyal and vocal fanbases in the country, but away from the Elland Road faithful there are plenty of football fans who can’t stand the Yorkshire club.
In 2015 it was reported that 41 different teams in the country sing about despising Leeds, and while we hate to say it, we can see why they’re such a disliked outfit.
Don Revie’s ‘dirty Leeds’ were hated up and down the land for being a particularly ill-disciplined side, and that legacy hasn’t been forgotten whether it’s stories being passed down from generation to generation or blockbuster movies being made about that side, it seems as though the Whites haven’t been able to shake that reputation.

United are a disliked club, and the coming weeks may not help them earn any new fans.
Reports are stating that Leeds could be promoted from the Championship despite not completing the full season, and that certainly won’t help their standing amongst opposition and neutral supporters. To put it simply, they’ll have been handed something that many will believe they don’t deserve.
United will have gone from being the team that are always hard done by, routinely chanting about being robbed in the 1975 European Cup Final, and how the EFL have an agenda against them, to being the hand-picked golden boys of the governing bodies, becoming one of the first two teams ever, alongside West Brom, to be promoted to the Premier League without earning it on the pitch.
Will Leeds care? Probably not, this club thrive off the ire of the opposition with some preaching that a siege mentality is what United need to be successful.
United fans will be buzzing if their team return to the top-flight, but near enough every other football fan in the country will have further reason to dislike the Elland Road outfit.
In other news, one Leeds man’s aspirations have just taken a hit.
